Let me show you how to make 10 lead magnets like these in one afternoon using Claude. And to do that, you only need one subscription, and that's for Claude. And we'll be using two tools, Claude Code and Claude Design. You don't need to know how to code in order to follow this. The reason why I'm using Claude Design is because it's really great at designing pages, layouts, PDFs.
Claude Code, on the other hand, is great for anything that actually has to work, like a spreadsheet where the formulas need to calculate properly, or a folder of email files, or a skill that someone has to download and install. And the reason why it's really good to have these lead magnets and use them is because you get your audience's email addresses. So, that means that the reach that you have is not controlled by Instagram's algorithm. But, you have a direct way of reaching your audience. The first thing that we need to do is create a Claude Design System.
And this is basically your brand that's written down in a way that Claude can follow. So, the colors that you use, the fonts, what your buttons and headings look like, and the things that you don't want Claude to do. And it's really important because once you've made it, everything that you create after that uses it automatically. And when you don't do this, the content really looks like it was made by AI, and it has the same fonts and the same gradient that everyone else uses. To set it up, I uploaded my brand guidelines PDF, my logo, my font files, and links to my website, and two of my best Instagram posts.
That way, it could see how the brand actually looks like in real life, not just in the guidelines. Then, I gave it this prompt. And this took me about 5 minutes. The first lead magnet that we're going to do is a checklist. It's one of the easiest ones to make, but it works really well.
So, in Cloud Design, we just need to use one prompt in order to make it. You need to open Cloud Design and make sure that Design System is selected, and then type this. We've got a ready checklist. Number two is a prompt library. And for this one, I started in Claude Code because I wanted the prompt saved as a file that I could edit before going on and caring about the design elements of it.
This is the prompt that I used, and it wrote all of the 50 prompts in about 60 seconds. I noticed that some of them were quite generic, so I tested the 10 that looked the weakest and asked it to rewrite them. So, each one asks for a specific context and gives a specific output format. Once I was happy with them, I took the file into Cloud Design and asked it to lay the library out as a PDF with a cover page, a contacts page, and one category per section. If you don't want this as a PDF, you could also put these prompts on Notion and just publish that page.
And it works really well when you're using ManyChat automation because you'll have to add a link there. Number three is a quiz, and it's still really easy to make, but I think it's the one that actually works the best for getting emails because people really want to know their score after they already filled out all of the questions. To do this, I would use Claude Code and asking for email before showing the result is what turns it from a fun quiz into a lead magnet. Number four is a calculator, and this one shows how many hours AI could save you. Obviously, you can make any kind of calculator, whether you are doing 3D prints and you want to know how much each print costs you or something entirely different.
This is the prompt that I use, and you can put that calculator on your website, or wherever else it suits you. Number five is a content planner spreadsheet. And I will use Claude Code for this one, because in a spreadsheet, it's not really about how it looks, it's about whether all of the formulas work, and Claude Code is very good at that. This is the prompt that I would use, and the spreadsheet is ready. But before you send it to anyone, make sure that you open it and type in the numbers, so that everything calculates.
You can actually use Claude Code so that it puts the numbers in as an example, and that really helps. And testing it is important because a broken formula in a lead magnet is worse than never sending a lead magnet at all. Number six is going to be a five-day email course. And this one I'm going to use Claude Code, too, because I want those emails to be saved straight into my drafts in my Gmail. So, I don't have to copy anything.
In order to set this up, you need to have Claude Code connected to your Gmail account. Claude will be able to actually design the whole email sequence, and also schedule it for when you want this to be sent. Number seven is a Claude project template. And here the idea is that you give people a ready-made Claude project with the instructions and knowledge files already written. And they copy it into their own Claude account, and they get, let's say, a content strategist.
And I made the files for that in Claude Code with this prompt. With this one, I would also send instructions for how to set it up, because a lot of people don't know how to set up a project. Number eight is a Claude skill that people can install. In general, a Claude skill is a set of instructions that Claude loads whenever it needs them. It's similar to an SOP.
For example, I have a skill that writes hooks for my videos, and I use it every week. So, I decided to share that with my audience. And the way to do that is to strip out the information that was particular for you. Number nine is a mini ebook. And this is where most AI lead magnets go wrong because they end up sounding like AI.
Now, instead of asking Claude to write this from scratch, I gave it my own content, the transcript from three of my podcasts, my previous LinkedIn posts, basically any content you've already made, so that Claude understands how I like to write. And this is the prompt that I used. And you'll notice that I told it to never use m dashes because they're one of the first things that people notice in AI writing. And once I had the draft ready, I will take it into Claude design and ask for a cover and a layout for the 12 pages. It was able to pull quotes in large type, put one key takeaway box per chapter, and have my photo on the front cover.
The final lead magnet is a LinkedIn hook generator. I was able to build this one in Claude Code with this prompts. And one thing to know before you make this one is the cost. Because if you publish it as Claude artifact, people will use their own Claude account. So, it doesn't cost you anything.
But if you put it on your website, you will be charged for each time someone uses it. So, make sure that there is a limit because the cost can really balloon. The biggest thing with these lead magnets is making sure that Claude has your brand guidelines and it has access to your previous content, so it sounds natural to your audience. On the 1st of November, I'm kicking off a 2-week course, which is going to go over how to make videos like this, how to set up your cloud card so that your long-form video can be edited fully by cloud, and how to get 30 pieces of content from one podcast episode. So, if you're interested in that, I've linked it down below.
Once you make the lead magnets, let me know which one worked best for your audience.
